Show Notes
Good evening. Washington. I'm Aaron Jolly.
We're watching the rivers closely this morning, the Skookumchuck River near Bucoda has pushed into minor flood stage. It crested last night and should drop below flood stage by early tomorrow. Still, you'll want to keep a safe distance from rising water in Lewis and Thurston Counties through Sunday afternoon.
Let's tour the state. You're waking up to mostly cloudy skies and a chilly 33 degrees in the Puget Sound region. Highs today top out near 47, rain moves in after 11 A.M. Sunday. Tonight, expect mostly cloudy conditions with a low around 33.
It's a cold start out in Eastern Washington, you're sitting at 22 degrees this morning. Expect a slight chance of snow showers before 8 P.M. Today. Otherwise, it's mostly cloudy, highs reach near 43. Tonight, look for a low around 22.
Down in the South Sound, you're at 30 degrees under mostly cloudy skies. The high hits 45 today. And tonight stays mostly cloudy with a low around 30.
Looking ahead. Looking at the week ahead, a wet pattern takes over, while rain arrives Sunday and continues through Tuesday. Highs climb into the mid-50s by Monday. We're tracking a warming trend, with temperatures approaching the upper 50s by Thursday. Expect rain to remain likely through the middle of the week.
Keep those gutters clear with all this rain coming. โ we'll be back with your next forecast evening.
See you tomorrow.
