Mira Rai is a professional trail runner from Nepal. She grew up in the village of Bhojpur and became a child soldier in the Maosist army at 14. She began running after instruction from a karate teacher, and she became a Salomon athlete after winning some of her first competitions. Mira is an inspiration in and outside of Nepal. Mira started the Mira Initiative, which supports Nepal female athletes.
