Haidi Sadik has worked in search and rescue missions for Sea Watch, where she also serves as a spokesperson and press liaison. Sea Watch is an NGO that responds to distress calls for refugee crafts attempting to cross the Mediterranean. We spoke about her experiences, as well as the social and political situation in the European Union as they relate to refugees and human rights.
