I read Psalm 78:
This chapter references many events that the Israelites witnessed and took part in, as they traveled through the wilderness from Egypt to a promised land. Their rebellions and unreliability to stay loyal to God. God repeatedly chose not the firstborn, or the most honored to be entrusted with leadership. He chose younger bothers who had serving experience to lead.
