A Special Weather Statement is in effect across Virginia today as gusty northwest winds create hazardous conditions. Those winds are already whipping at 20 to 25 miles per hour, with gusts reaching 40 to 50 miles per hour through the afternoon. This Monday starts off chilly with temperatures in the upper 30s and low 40s.
