Show Notes

Good morning. Vermont. I'm DJ Huzz. Step outside and you'll feel it. 47 degrees right now. That's 16 degrees above normal for early March. The kind of mild morning that gets folks thinking about tapping maple trees. We picked up a bit of rain overnight. And a few lingering showers are wrapping up as we speak. Down south, those last showers clear out by 8 A.M., then partly sunny skies push in. Highs reach 45 degrees with breezy west winds gusting to 29 miles an hour. Tonight drops to 33 degrees under mostly clear skies. Central Vermont sees mostly sunny conditions after early morning clouds. You'll hit 54 degrees with lighter southwest winds around 6 miles an hour. Tonight falls to 35 degrees. Up northeast, a slight chance of showers wraps up by 7 A.M., then partly sunny skies take over. Highs near 51 degrees with southwest winds around 6 miles an hour. Tonight dips to 29 degrees under mostly clear skies. Monday brings beautiful weather statewide. Mostly sunny skies with highs from 56 degrees south to 59 degrees central. Monday night stays mild, with lows in the low to mid 30s. Tuesday continues the spring preview with sunny skies and highs in the upper 50s to low 60s. Wednesday brings clouds and rain likely by afternoon as a warm front lifts north. Then the big story hits Thursday. A strong cold front crashes through with rain transitioning to snow and temperatures plummeting. We're talking a 30 degrees temperature drop from Wednesday to Thursday night. Friday and Saturday stay cold with highs in the mid to upper 30s and chances for snow showers. Enjoy the mild start while it lasts. See you this afternoon.
