Show Notes

Good morning. Vermont. I'm Aaron Jolly. Step outside and you'll feel that damp 20 degrees clinging to everything. The messy overnight mix — snow, sleet, the works — wrapped up around 5 A.M. The worst is behind us. Southern Vermont took the brunt. Less than an inch of accumulation, but watch for sneaky slick spots on untreated roads through mid-morning. Today climbs to 32 under mostly cloudy skies. Tonight dips to 29, then Saturday flips the script with a jump to 47. Central Vermont saw the same light snow wrapping up by 5 A.M. Roads improve as we climb to 38 this afternoon. Tonight settles at 32, then Saturday brings a dramatic warm-up — 54 degrees with rain and drizzle likely. That's a 22-degree swing in 24 hours. Northeast Vermont stayed mostly cloudy overnight, bottoming out at 20. Today reaches 39 — right on target for early March. Tonight holds at 30 before Saturday's warmth arrives. Highs near 47 with a chance of freezing drizzle early. Cover those plants if you've got anything optimistic outside. Here's your heads-up for the week ahead. Saturday brings that big warm-up — upper 40s to mid-50s with rain by evening. Sunday clears out, partly sunny, upper 40s to low 50s. Monday and Tuesday look gorgeous — sunny with highs climbing into the mid-50s. Wednesday brings rain showers back, mid-40s, before cooler air returns Thursday. One quick note — with temperatures climbing well above freezing this weekend and rain on the way, we'll be watching for potential ice jams on area rivers. Snowmelt plus rainfall can cause localized issues. See you tomorrow. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast See you tomorrow.
