Show Notes

Good afternoon! I'm Aaron Jolly, and welcome to the Vermont Weather Podcast. It's Saturday, February 17th. Folks, here's the deal. Vermont is doing that thing where the thermometer barely moves, but somehow every region feels different. Southern Vermont sits at 32 degrees right now. Light northwest winds. Quiet skies. Maybe a stray flurry, but nothing that'll change your Saturday plans. Now drive north on Route 100. Central Vermont reads 34 degrees with a bit more breeze out of the north. Clouds are thicker up here, and you've got a decent chance of light snow showers sneaking in later. Keep heading into the Northeast Kingdom and you're seeing that same 34 degrees. A few more clouds drifting through, but nothing dramatic. Here's the thing. Tonight we all slide back into the 20s together. Winds stay gentle, so no brutal wind chills. Just that clean, still February cold that makes your boots crunch on the snow. Tomorrow brings a small gift. Highs push into the upper 30s for most of the state. Still below normal for mid February, but after the deep freeze we just survived, 38 degrees might feel like a spa day. Here's your heads up for the week ahead. No big storms lurking. No arctic air diving south. Just steady, classic February. Temperatures hang in the 30s with occasional flurries. Think of it as Vermont on cruise control. Not exciting, but reliable. One bright spot worth celebrating. Sunrise hit 6:45 this morning. Sunset stretches to 5:30 tonight. That's nearly three extra minutes of daylight. Spring is inching closer, even if it's still wearing a parka. Air quality is solid too. Perfect afternoon to get outside and breathe it in. So. If you're enjoying these daily updates, share us with a neighbor. Word of mouth keeps this thing going. Stay safe out there. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
