We talk about what drew Jay to the blockchain space and what she thinks is keeping more people from joining. We also discuss her work with Zcash — a privacy-focused cryptocurrency that adds encryption to transactions.
Jay talks about the importance of privacy in crypto networks and some of the potential dangers of blockchain when it comes to public transaction records. We discuss whether developers have a responsibility to bake privacy into protocols, and the importance of zero-knowledge proofs for building private decentralized networks.
Jay also covers her work with Twitter’s Blue Sky Project. We talk about the problems with social media platforms today, if social media will decentralize, and what that might look like.
