How does what we know get in the way of what we don’t know, but need to learn? I felt like I finally knew stuff. But now I’m leaving and going into a new environment. And I began to wonder, how does all of this mastery and competence that I have built the hard way, how is that actually now going to be a liability in this new environment? I could see it wasn’t just a question for me. We’re living in fast times. Technology is causing our business cycles to spin so fast that often we don’t even face the same problem twice. There’s not a lot of opportunity to for reuse. And we’re working in an environment where what we know isn’t nearly as important as how fast we learn- Liz Wiseman
