I was reminded this week of the Maya Angelou quote, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Time and again, my guests on The Unlock Moment talk about how the remarkable clarity they found was about how they realised that their purpose was to serve others. I was in conversation with one of my coachees recently, an extraordinary person who has made it her personal mission to impact the lives of young children around the world who have been abused and abandoned. It made me reflect on what I was doing to impact the lives of others. Feelings matter and the smallest things you do can have a massive impact on others, if it helps them to feel seen, to feel heard, to feel valued.
