The Uncomfortable Truth

Is it just a coincidence or is it a God instance? Are we paying enough attention to recognize God instances or does He have to hit us over the head with a 2x4?

Are we emptying ourselves daily and letting our hearts be filled with Jesus? It's a constant battle to let go of "me" and let Him in but definitely one worth fighting. Let's fill our tanks with the right fuel today.

How well do we struggle? It is easy to show Jesus when everything is going perfectly, but in the moments that we are going through something pretty devastating, it is a completely different story. How well we struggle is an indication of how well we are tied into Jesus.

Do we get caught up in our own day to day too much and miss the opportunities God has for us? It's time to pay more attention. Distraction is a tool of the Devil.

Do you make mistakes? Do you fail to live up to expectations sometimes? This is something that we all struggle with on a day to day basis. We are blessed to have the opportunity to redeem ourselves daily because of what Jesus did for us.

The ability to listen is an ability that is lost unless we practice it. Let's put in the work.

How much do we control our mind? Do we let our inability to control our mind dictate our day to day life? Are we being intentional with our thoughts and the effort that we put into serving Jesus with our thoughts?

When someone does something that hurts you, whether intentional or unintentional, how do you react? Are we showing Jesus in those moments or are we showing our butt?

Where do we turn when adversity strikes? How do we react? Are we turning in the direction that God would have us turn or are we trying to handle it on our own?

What are we doing with our talents? How are we taking what God has given us and returning those blessings back to Him?

Losing someone will expose who you are and what you believe in. Are you being intentional with how you deal with the after math? Who are you walking towards in these moments?

Have you ever acted upon revenge? What does the word say about seeking revenge? Does peace exist when revenge is present?

Who/what is the foundation of your marriage? Sometimes a battle won is a battle lost. How many times have you died on the hill of being right? What steps are you taking in your faith to strengthen your relationship?

How can you teach humility to your children? What steps can you take to allow them to grasp what humility looks like? Walking in humility insist on making uncomfortable sacrifices.

What traditions does your family participate in? What do your children remember most about these gatherings? Has the busyness of life overcome the growth of your family?

Where is Jesus ranked in your life? Does your peace originate from your walk with God? It is so easy to fulfill your life with the things of the world. Is Jesus your answer?

What is the biggest lie that you have said? What are the biggest lies in the world today? The worse lies that we tell ourselves are the ones that we convince ourselves are true. Where is your final destination just being a good person?
