Philosopher Michael Polanyi described the Modernist quest for objectivity as a kind of second fall. What'd he mean by that? How does objectivity bind us? What is a better way? A more biblical and Christian way? Jesus called us to be salt, but if we process reality just like non-believers our saltiness will be effete.
