We're hearing about this plan for Christian Nationalism in our country. Let's clear Jesus never made anyone follow Him against their will. So, what would a government that's really following godly principles look like? One way to figure that out is by looking at what it definitely wouldn't look like, using current examples from around the world. We can also dig into the Bible to see what kind of leaders would embody true godliness in government. Well, it makes sense. Power is a powerful drug. Why are we talking about this? It has to do with the worship of power and the inability for people to let go of it. The Left is pushing a meme that contends that there is a Republican Jesus. Republican Jesus, of course, says things like, feed only those that look like us and pass the drug test. He might say, give your money to those who are wealthy and already have privilege. We'll go through a video that contends to show what the Republican Jesus is. In an interview with NPR, evangelical Christian leader Russell Moore, said that multiple pastors had told him disturbing stories about their congregants being upset when they read from the Sermon on the Mount in which Jesus espouses the principles of forgiveness and mercy that are central to Christian doctrine. Multiple pastors told him congregants have been upset by the “liberal” talking points from that passage of scripture. Now, that didn't happen. I mean, with all due respect to the pastor, I don't believe that for five seconds.And, we will talk about 10 commandments being made to be posted in the schools of Louisiana. I don't know that I have a view that's going to please a lot of people on this. I think my view differs from a lot of conservatives. In all of this, it's sometimes hard to find good news. I saw an interesting example of this on my Twitter feed. It comes with eye-catching photos of photogenic women showing their bust. Why would that be? I had a discussion with Caleb Altamire, founder and CEO of HelpingCaptives.org. We talked yesterday with Nate Lewis about how he's approaching fighting sex trafficking with his group, INNOCENCE Rescue Mission. Caleb Altememeyer, Founder & CEO of Helping Captives is at the other end of this. His heart is to help people who are captive now to sex trafficking. He learned about the realities of sex trafficking when he learned that it had happened to a neighbor. This freaked me out because this is the second time in chatting with these guys that we actually shared something deeply in common. The same thing happened to me. The way they approach this is, in fact, to make sure that women have a place to go and they're working on and have secured a building that used to be a strip club to use for their mission to help victims of sex trafficking. I don't normally go around talking about actors and I'm not here to say that he was a role model or anything like that. But one thing I do want to talk about is Donald Sutherland and why actors become liberals. I talked to a gentleman named Nate Lewis, who's the founder and CEO of Innocence Rescue Mission. Hr told me something I didn't know, that it's actually small towns that represent the least risk for sex traffickers. Nate and his group work in a number of ways to help stop sex trafficking, including getting men who sign up to go rent the bodies of 11 year old kids and getting them arrested. Thank God. Interestingly, Nate's the only other guy near my age I've ever met who, like me, was kidnapped. His kidnapping lasted a lot longer and may have been even more dangerous than mine. My friend Zach Abraham, Chief Investment Officer at Bulwark Capital Management, brought up an interesting fact about the U.S. dollar. It's actually not always used by choice. In fact, most of the time, it's not used by choice. That reminded me of something that's occurred at Microsoft, where they were so used to having their products be something people had to use because it's what is in the workplace, that they weren't ready for a time when people could choose a different product. Zach thought that was a pretty spot-on comparison to what can happen to our dollar as there are new payment systems available.
