This afternoon, Todd asks us What’s Worse: seeing someone bite their fingernails or hearing the sound of fingernails on a chalkboard? We take your calls and texts on whether germs or horrible sounds irritate you more. 

At the bottom of the hour, Todd updates us on some of the specific programs impacted by Trump’s funding freezes and budget cuts. The US President’s Emergency Plan For AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), a program that has saved tens of millions of lives around the world, has already begun turning people away. While the funding freeze has been rescinded, PEPFAR and other programs deemed “unnecessary” by the Trump administration are still in danger. 

Here in Wisconsin, we may soon have a state law banning phones in schools. While electronics undoubtedly have both positive and negative effects on education, making this decision at the state level may put local municipalities in tough positions.
