At the bottom of the hour, we welcome State Senator Sarah Keyeski to talk about a new Right To Repair bill that she co-authored. As the law stands, manufacturers are allowed to make it difficult or impossible for their customers to repair their own equipment. For example, companies like John Deere may only allow dealerships to use certain tools or diagnostic software, preventing farmers from fixing their tractors when they need them most. Sen. Keyeski’s bill would ensure that parts and documentation are available at a reasonable price for end users.
