At the bottom of the hour, State Senator Kelda Roys returns for her weekly Joint Finance Committee update. Since we last spoke with her, no progress has been made in budget negotiations. In fact, the committee hasn’t even had another meeting. Looming over this absence is the proposed $87 million cut to the UW System budget that we have reported on over the last week. According to Channel 3000, UW leadership are making moves in anticipation of this cut.
