Juvenile Detention. It's a dark and scary place for people under the age of majority. Nick Koumalatsos had to struggle being in that place at the age of 12. Because of his troubled youth, he had to seek legal counsel just to be accepted. But it didn't stop him from being positive about his future. It was his perseverance through adversity that set the tone for the things to come. He joined the Marine Corps at 19 and went on to become a 12-year Special Operations Marine Corps veteran.
