Show Notes
Good morning, folks! I'm Aaron Jolly, and that\'s your 6 AM Texas Weather Podcast for Friday, February 21st. Your coffee's hot, and so is the Gulf Coast. Let's get into it.
Here's the deal. Texas is running two completely different seasons today. Down along the coast, you're looking at 79 degrees. That's 13 degrees above normal for late February. Southeasterly breeze at 5 to 10 miles an hour. A slight chance of a stray shower, but nothing to cancel plans over. Tonight stays balmy, only dipping to the mid 60s. Your AC might actually kick on.
Drive north through Central Texas and the thermometer starts behaving more like winter. Austin and San Antonio land around 68 degrees. Clear skies, light northeast winds, lows tonight in the upper 40s. Honestly? Perfect patio weather for a Friday night.
Now up in North Texas, February's still got its teeth in. Dallas tops out at just 61 degrees with a stubborn northeast breeze that keeps things crisp. A small chance of a light shower, too. Tonight drops to the low 40s. Grab a jacket if you're heading out.
Quick note on air quality. We're sitting at moderate levels today. If you've got sensitive lungs, maybe ease up on that outdoor run.
Sunrise hits at 7:08 this morning, sunset at 6:24. We're gaining almost two minutes of daylight every single day now. Spring is creeping closer.
Here's what's coming this week. The coast stays warm through the weekend while North Texas slowly warms up Saturday. Sunday a weak front might shave a degree or two off, but nothing dramatic. Early next week looks steady. No major storms on the horizon.
Alright. If this forecast helped you plan your Friday, share it with someone who hates weather surprises. We appreciate every single listener.
I'll be back at 9 AM to see if that Gulf warmth starts sneaking inland. Have a great Friday, Texas!
