🚨 HIGH WIND WARNING - Tennessee Weather 3/14 - Evening

Good evening. Tennessee. I'm Michael Mosby. Folks, step outside and you might think we skipped straight into May, we're sitting at a gorgeous 76 degrees under clear skies right now. It's a beautiful Saturday. But. Because a major weather change is bearing down on us. As the sun sets. Tonight stays mild statewide, middle Tennessee drops to about 56 degrees. West Tennessee sees a low around 58, east Tennessee is the cool spot, near 50 degrees. Sunday brings the drama. Highs climb statewide — Nashville hits 76. Memphis reaches 77. Knoxville tops out near 74. But it gets windy, south winds gust to 45 miles an hour in Nashville. The Smokies see a High Wind Warning, gusts there could hit 65 miles an hour. That's strong enough to snap branches or knock out power. A line of strong storms arrives Sunday evening, west Tennessee sees storms between 4 P.M. and 7 P.M. Some could be severe, that line pushes into Middle Tennessee after 7 P.M. East Tennessee gets the rain after 8 P.M. Temperature-wise. Then the bottom falls out, a cold front crashes through Sunday night. Temperatures plummet. Rain changes to snow showers, monday's highs only reach the low 40s. Lows Monday night dip into the 20s, some higher elevations could see a dusting of snow. Looking ahead. Looking at the week ahead. Tuesday stays sunny and chilly with highs in the 40s. We warm up quickly after that, wednesday returns to the upper 50s. By Thursday and Friday, we're back near 80 degrees under sunny skies.
