Show Notes
I interviewed Matt Gilhooly who is a Podcaster and Educator. Matt is a Podcast Producer/Host/Editor of The Life Shift podcast and Associate Course Director in higher education. Matt teaches PBL (project based learning) in his finance classes where students create real-world projects that bring their understanding of the subject matter to life. He talks about the long term impact of No Child Left Behind, and how students should be okay with failure. Matt shares “Understanding failures are not failures, but they are learning opportunities.” He is authentic, speaks the truth, cares about education reform, and wants to see people live a life of passion and not just a checklist life. Matt ends with “The more we share our stories, the less people feel alone.”
