I interviewed Lorraine Connell who is a former Chemistry Educator and now is a Leadership Coach with her business Peers-not-fears. She is also the Creator/Host of Education Unimagined podcast where she interviews students about their ideas for education. She is the ultimate champion for students sharing their voice. Lorraine left teaching because she knew she had more to do to empower kids. She is working to build leadership in our youth through peer mentoring. A quote that stood out to me that was said by one of her students was "You know, Ms. Connell, we have always been wearing masks." There is so much truth and power in that statement. We have to listen to our kids! They know what we need to change in education and in the world.
