You’ve probably heard a million times how important it is to be visible online, right? Social media is the platform to grow your brand, reach your audience, and share your message. But for so many entrepreneurs, this idea of ‘being visible’ can feel downright terrifying.
Why is that? Why do so many of us have this fear of putting ourselves out there on social media, even when we know that it’s the key to growing our business?
Well, the truth is, this fear often goes much deeper than we realise. It’s not just about posting a picture or going live. It’s about being seen. And for a lot of us, being seen triggers some deep-rooted fears—fear of judgment, fear of failure, fear of rejection, and even fear of success. When we put ourselves out there, we open ourselves up to criticism. We risk vulnerability. And as much as we may want success, our subconscious mind is often more focused on keeping us safe than helping us grow.
