Favorite Self Confidence Quote

To be beautiful means to be yourself.  You don't need to be accepted by others, you need to accept yourself.

Definition of Self Confidence

Self-confidence is knowing who you truly are and accepting your vulnerabilities while being able to bring it out visibly.

Her Life Before the Discovery of Self Confidence

Tara grew up learning to be confident since she played violin at an early age and used to complete as well.  She did go through moments where her confidence was tested which was related to being visible.

The “AHA” Moment

Tara got her first taste of editing in college when her professor asked her to edit one of his writings.  She fell in love with editing and was able to secure an internship at Penguin.  Her love for reading books started when her mother gave her an English version of a Japanese author's books which led to her passion for reading.

Tara wasn't able to highlight Asian authors at first because the industry believed there was no market for it so she started doing it little by little to get to where she is today.  She can now choose the authors she wants to work it and create the inclusion we deserve.

Her Life After the Discovery of Self Confidence

Tara gets to do what she loves while elevating the Asian community through traditional publishing.
