In this episode, I speak to actor, writer, author Jade Byrne who has been living with type 1 diabetes for 31 years. Jade discusses her diagnosis story, finding the balance between managing and living with type 1 and her one-woman play Pricks. We also discuss Jade’s children’s book, Daisy Donald. Jade shares her life with type 1 in her own open and transparent way. A key takeaway from our interview is the pivotal role Jade’s late mum played in shaping how Jade viewed type 1 from a young age.
