Osterholm approved of the new CDC guidance on opening nursing home to visitors and for vaccinated Americans, but said that the U.S. could be facing a whole new ballgame as new COVID variants appear around the country. If these variants prove to be more transmissible, Osterholm said that school reopening plans could be in jeopardy. Plus, a conversation on how the U.S. has done with vaccinations.
