Get ready because you are in for a real treat especially if, like me, you love a straight talker!Zamiha Desai is a very special lady: 6 years ago she was working at the Head Office of our best known national retailers living a somewhat ordinary life. Following some changes in management structure and a programme of redundancies, she dreaded going to work. That same year having found a sari pleater who she though was amazing and wanted to share with her friends, she started a Facebook group called RecommendAsian. This week I’m joined from New York by Mark Herschberg, the author of The Career Toolkit, Essential Skills for Success That No One Taught You. From tracking criminals and terrorists on the dark web to creating marketplaces and new authentication systems, Mark has spent his career launching and developing new ventures at startups and Fortune 500s and in academia. He helped to start the Undergraduate Practice Opportunities Program, dubbed MIT’s “career success accelerator,” where he teaches annually. At Harvard Business School, Mark helped create a platform used to teach finance at prominent business schools.
