Many people come to preparedness from a scarcity mindset. At TSPC we have always pushed back on that. In episode one I said that preparing from fear blinds us to the good in the world. Yes, bad things happen and worse things can happen. That is always true. But the way we romanticize those who lived through the great depression does not build resilience. Especially those at the bottom of society. I respect their grit. My grandparents lived through it on modest incomes. What I learned from them was simple. It was hard. Very hard.
