<p>Can you think of a more common question being cried out in the midst of a difficult season of life than “How am I going to make it through this?” Maybe that’s the cry of your heart today. Or maybe you’re wondering where God is in your pain or how what you’re going through is fair. We’ve all asked these questions at some point in our lives.<br><br>As you read through Habakkuk, consider this: Habakkuk’s hope came from remembering what God had done for Israel in the past and repeating what he knew to be true about God. Where does your hope come from?</p>

<p>If Amos were a modern-day prophet, he would be equally unpopular in our midst, because he could point out the same truths about our culture and even some uncomfortable truths about the church. But we’ll learn from this Minor Prophet that when we start treating sin lightly, we don’t take God seriously. And if we don’t start taking sin seriously, we’ll never experience the presence of God in our lives.</p>

<p>The book of Joel has some pretty vivid imagery that helps us picture how devastating the power of sin is and yet how life-giving God’s law is when it takes root in our hearts. We discover that, like the Israelites, the locusts eating away at our lives are actually God’s mercy. He wants us back, and he’ll bring us to the end of ourselves if that’s what it takes for us to turn from sin and be restored to him.</p>

<p>In this message Pastor J.D. preaches on the fascinating story of Hosea and how it reflects God’s love for us. We learn how, when we see just how passionately God has always pursued his people, we become more and more like him.</p>

<p>One of the main ways Satan tries to deceive us is by getting us to believe in a distorted view of God that inevitably lets us down and destroys our faith. We see that our view of God can’t be real, and we reject the real God in the process.<br><br>We finish up the “Unknown God” series by looking at some of the most common false gods that Satan uses today to throw us off in our pursuit of the real God—the God who can be known and who is not silent. He is the voice calling out in creation and revealed to us by Jesus. And when we encounter him, our lives will never be the same.</p>

<p>Is Jesus really who he said he is? Thomas’ story will help us see that, through the resurrection, we have an anchor for our faith and access to the power to believe.</p>

<p>In this three-week series we’ll look at what the Bible says faith is, what we can know about it, and how we can know it. We’ll also address the distorted view of God that many have rejected and why the existence of God is even in question.</p>

<p>Ephesus is the only church in the Bible where we see the beginning, middle, and end of the church. Somewhere along the way, this awesome church became just a part of <a href="http://history...they" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">history...they</a> faded away and ceased to exist. And if that happened to them, couldn’t that happen to us?</p>

<p>The way to resist Satan is not to engage Satan; it is to be filled with the presence of Jesus, the stronger man.</p>

<p>Paul wants us to understand in Ephesians 5:21 that walking in light, love, and wisdom includes “submitting to one another in the fear of Christ.” It’s also a transition into his discussion on gospel-centered relationships, where he shows us three ordinary relationships—in marriage, family, and work—where we can practice submission and, in doing so, grow in love and as a disciple.</p>

<p>Paul has just finished explaining what God has done for us in Christ. Now, he’s going to show us how we ought to walk in light of what we have experienced. What is the power working in your life to help you walk in the way of Paul’s instructions to believers?</p>

<p>Do you want to see God do some great things in your life and in your community? Many of us don't have a problem with knowing the right things about God. But we all need to learn how to grow up, roll up our sleeves, and start using our gifts to serve one another.</p>

<p>To be a part of a multi-cultural church, we need to get comfortable being uncomfortable.</p>

<p>Sometimes prayer doesn't bring the help we're "asking for". Instead, it opens our eyes to see the help that God has already brought.</p>

<p>What does the Bible actually say about predestination?</p>

<p>Are you a disciple or just a "Christian"?</p>

<p>Has your belief in God transformed the way you live? Has your belief been connected to the rest of your life?</p>

<p>Most people assume they'll go to heaven, as long as they don't mess it up. Scripture presents the opposite.</p>

<p>Our faithfulness to the mission produces God’s effectiveness of the mission.</p>

<p>Do you look to God for the life you want, or do you want to make God your life?</p>

<p>Jesus seeks committed followers, not anonymous consumers.</p>

<p>Happiness isn't a set of circumstances; it's the fruit of a right relationship with God.</p>

<p>God will not stop pursuing you until he finds you.</p>

<p>Worry in our lives comes from forgetting either the power of Jesus over the storms or doubting his commitment to us.</p>
