In today’s episode, we’re talking about turning the page on negative chapters in life and writing new stories for ourselves and our families. Our guest, Shanicia Boswell will share how she went from being homeless and jobless – to becoming an accomplished author, entrepreneur, and advocate for Black Moms.
Shanicia also shares the story behind the formation of her platform, Black Moms Blog & the importance of representation for Black mothers within the blogging community. In her book, “Oh, Sis! You’re Pregnant” she explores topics like setting boundaries with an overbearing mother in the delivery room, to offering suggestions about ways you should wear your hair while giving birth.
