Maria Fundora founded nonprofit Purple Pansies following her mother's death from pancreatic cancer. She felt called to raise awareness for this underfunded but deadly cancer. Maria immigrated to the U.S. from Cuba in the 1960s and was taught to always give to others, and is continuing to provide funds to End Pancreatic Cancer.
