This week Randa is going to tell you about a couple Cherokee stories of the Mooneyed People and Judaculla Rock. Plus the answer to last week's murder mystery!
According to Cherokee legend the Moon Eyed people were a small, pale, light haired, and blue eyed people who inhabited the Appalachian mountains BEFORE the Cherokee migrated there.
Legends of the Giant Judaculla, a 15 foot tall, slant eyed (his pupils were slanted in his eyes, like a cats almost), seven fingered man, say he ruled over the mountains of present day Sylva and you could not cross into his territory without his permission or following his rules.
