They are AWESOME for Ice. They make minimal difference on snow. I don’t have a Brompton, so I can’t speak directly to that, but maybe some sort of thick neoprene cloth could be carried on board and placed over the tire where it would hit so it doesn’t scratch.” Fine Print Produced at home thanks to: music: Ryan J. E529 – Chris Smith: 6th Appearance, 2nd Round for Elections

Chris Smith is still our choice for the Oregon tri-county regional government election for Metro Councilor this fall (we spoke with him last on episode 505), and he rejoins us to explain his platform particulars at this stage of the process. He talks about the primary election results from earlier in the year, compares to an opponent in the race, talks a little about the transportation measure that will be on the ballot, and lets us know how we can help! Find more: chrisformetro.com Follow this link to make a donation to Chris’ campaign if you’re able – money talks, and if you want to see thoughtful, equitable change in a major city, your gift will make his voice heard. We also briefly addressed #boatmonth. Follow his adventures and projects on Instagram at @bugwajiniinii. E518 – SprocketShift Draft 2020

We joined Tim at the Pedalshift Project for an edition of his Bicycle Tour Draft, a “fantasy draft pick” exercise in which we assemble our hypothetical gear for a hypothetical tour. As with any fantasy sport, the competition can get heated, and small things turn into big things! Cast your vote for the winner – Tim says: “Winner will be determined by fancy RANKED CHOICE VOTING, a super cool and superior way to vote. Click here to rank your top 4 (just drag and drop the names in order) and the winner is crowned! We’ll tally results at midnight on July 1st. Again… you have the rest of June eastern time to vote… who has the better tour setup?”
