Show Notes
Ball don’t lie. The Astros get into a sticky situation but walk it off anyway. Ronel Blanco’s glove was checked in the top of the 4th inning and the umps decided that in the middle of his breakout season and in the middle of this game—with all the other hand and glove checks this game and season—this was the moment Blanco decided to get the competitive edge and bring a foreign substance on the field. Blanco and the Astros say that it was a mixture of sweat and rosin. Apparently, sweat and rosin-the one sticky substance the league literally gives you—on your non-pitching hand gives you a competitive advantage when pitching. While we wait for the lab to give us results and await news of suspension, Astros fans everywhere are standing behind Blanco. Let’s beat the allegations and FREE BLANCO! Besides all the drama surrounding the game, this was a dramatic game. So let’s talk baseball and not just about umpires.
Also, OF Corey Julks has been traded to the Chicago White Sox for RHP Luis Rodriguez. We’ll miss you Julks. Best of luck!
