"Men are afraid to be masculine, they're shying away from their strengths, they're apologizing all the time for just being what they are inherently, they're not able to hold down healthy relationships anymore, they don't know how to interact with women anymore, they don't know how to be self confident anymore. We're destroying an entire gender for the sake of being politically correct."
Over the last several generations, the image of men and masculinity has been distorted to the point that, as our guest Ilan put it, "we now have a baseline vilification of masculinity across the board". This conversation goes deep into history, politics and current events to clarify the true situation. Everything we do today to restore the true image of men and masculinity is an investment in future generations. It will take time and a huge cultural shift. "The positive effects of what we do today are not for ourselves, they're for the future."
Ilan Srulovicz is the CEO of the Egard watch company, an actor and a martial artist. In 2019, Ilan took a big stand against the "toxic masculinity" narrative. Gillette released an ad titled "The Best A Man Could Be", focusing on what they deemed toxic masculinity. Ilan released a video response and was interviewed on FOX News and many other media platforms to discuss his point of view.
