We have a brand new term to add to our ever growing list of "probably nothing" medical phenomenons.
SADS is: Sudden Adult Death Syndrome.
So, are they talking about lightning strikes? Shark attacks? Trees falling on people??
Nope. Specifically, SADS is a giant uptick in fatal cardiac events in otherwise healthy adults under the age of 40.
Hmmmm... what does that remind you of? And why would it be a recent phenomenon?
Science may never know...
