The education system never used to be as abysmal as it is today. In fact, school children of the 18th century would put most adults to shame when it came to their cognitive prowess.
But a man by the name of J.D. Rockefeller started something in 1902 that would lead to where we are today, where about 15% of American adults are illiterate, and many more are hopelessly trapped in meaningless jobs.
