Show Notes
"Time out is ineffective and shaming. Your child is making a bid for attention and you are isolating them and traumatizing them during their time of need."
We're all heard it. We're all read and watched the reels. We've been talked down to via a TikTok influencer who wants us to "co-regulate" and have "time in". So what gives? Is time out effective? Is in harmful? Is there a middle ground?
As always, lets let the research guide us! Today I'm sharing that research with you, and how I've interpreted it to help parent my own kids. I'll also give some tips for where time out should occur, if you choose to use it, to help maintain a happy association with sleep & your child's bedroom.
Whether or not you choose to use time out, you're a great parent, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
