George Floyd's brother says to lawmakers, "stop the pain" and "listen to the call" for policing reforms. Minneapolis police chief promises to regain public's trust. The Minneapolis police chief also says that race is an "inextricably" part of policing. The Minneapolis police chief has also pulled out of negotiations with the police union, as he is looking for "more flexibility in true reform." The Minneapolis mayor backs the the police chief's reform plan. 

A report says that Derek Chauvin's plea deal was discussed before he was arrested and charged with murder for George Floyd's death. 

At least 12 cities and municipalities are banning choke holds in policing. Nascar officials say that the display of the confederate flag will be prohibited. Trump says administration won't consider renaming military bases named after confederate military leaders. Kudlow joins Attorney General Barr and the national security adviser in denying systemic racism. 

Officials say that Trump is eyeing a meeting with social justice campaigners. Sources say that Trump and McConnell met at White House to discuss senate races amid concerns about president's poll numbers.

Coronavirus cases in the United States nears two million and more than 112,000 deaths. A Harvard doctor says 100,000 more Americans will die from coronavirus by September.
