The House of Representatives is nearing a final vote in holding former Trump White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows in criminal contempt of Congress. This, as newly released texts show GOP allies pleading with Meadows during the riot to have President Trump speak out and stop the violence on January 6th. The messages come from Donald Trump Jr., members of Congress, and Fox News hosts who have since publicly tried to whitewash the insurrection.
