Vaccine advisers to the FDA voted 17-0 to recommend emergency use authorization of Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine in children ages 5-11. As the FDA takes the committee’s vote under consideration, emergency use authorization for young children will likely be given in the next several days.
Biden is seeking unification amongst congressional democrats for his $1.72 trillion economic and climate package in the next several days before he leaves for the U.N. climate change conference. The White House is grappling with whether to scale back or eliminate entirely key elements like paid family leave, Medicaid and Medicare expansion, and determine the scale of climate provisions.
