George Floyd's family attorney says a private autopsy shows Floyd died of asphyxiation at the hands of police. The attorney also says three other officers "need to be charged... they knew what they were doing could cause death." The medical examiner says George Floyd's death was a homicide resulting from being restrained. George Floyd's brother appeals for peaceful protests and the end to violence as he visits memorial , at the site of his brother's killing. The Minnesota attorney general says that history shows that Floyd's case may not be a "slam dunk."

The nation braces for a possible seventh night of unrest with mandatory curfews in effect for multiple cities. Wolf Blitzer shows video of tear gas bring fired at protesters in Philadelphia. Trump calls governors "weak," urges them to dominate" unruly protests, as active duty United States military forces are deploying into District of Columbia and military-style vehicles move onto Pennsylvania Ave near the White House. Obama condemns violence, calls for change in wake of George Floyd protests. The Atlanta curfew is extended for a third night starting at 9pm. The New York City mayor announces an 11pm curfew and doubles police for the night.
