Fr. Spyridon reflects on Theophany and its implications for our spiritual life

The Church Fathers tell us that self love is dangerous.

When we lose hope, we enter a very dangerous spiritual condition.

While there is still time, there is the possibility of seeking the compassion and forgiveness of God.

Spiritual dryness is not a sign that God has abandoned us.

Every precept of Christ is innate within us.

In silence and the separation of our hearts, we are meant to hear God.

What does it even mean to try to be spiritual?

Will we be among the saved?

If God has entrusted us with the Kingdom, have our lives borne fruit.

In order to see God, me must be elevated above the darkness and sin of our everyday lives.

If we do not forgive, we cannot call ourselves Christians.

God allows suffering to bring us to our senses because, to trust God, we must realize that our whole lives are in his hands.

We must enter the spiritual arena to do combat and reject the temptation in our lives.

When faced with temptation, we must listen to our conscience, understand the nature of temptation, and look to Christ as an example of how to respond to it.
