Jackie Nichols is a detective with the Asotin County Sheriff's Office in Western Washington. Jackie is the only detective working for the Asotin County Sheriff's Office which is responsible for providing law enforcement services to this sparsely populated yet geographically large county in the southeastern corner of the state.
Today we're going to discuss cold cases, the advances in DNA as a law enforcement tool, the legal hurdles that can get in the way of utilizing it to solve cases, difficulties with cross jurisdictional investigations and the problems that can arise when certain types of missing persons cases are not treated like they could be murders.
