Sean has been a frequent guest on television shows and podcasts over the last few weeks because of his directing of the recent film Convicting a Murderer, a rebuttal to the Netflix documentary, Making a Murderer, but there's much more to Sean as a man as a father as a journalist and a documentarian
Jayson and Shawn talk about the difficult road to bringing Convicting a Murderer to the screen, the resistance that Shawn and his partners face from big distribution companies and talent agents because of the topic and its opposing views to the Netflix hit. Plus, hear how Convicting a Murderer got picked up almost accidentally by The Daily Wire and how Sean's autism may have been his superpower in getting this documentary created. They also talk about the challenge that documentary makers who pursue unpopular theories and themes, especially those that run against the interests of their corporate partners, run into these days.
