Ep 179Edmund Kemper | The Coed Killer - Part 4
The day after Kemper purchased the revolver, police officers knocked on his door to confiscate it. Kemper was compliant and surrendered the weapon without incident. The officers joked with the man and assured him that this procedure was purely protocol, and it was. The officers visiting his house had no idea that the huge man on the other side of the door was the serial killer they were desperately trying to find. This incident shook Kemper’s new-found confidence. Although the officers had assured him that everything was fine, Kemper couldn’t shake the paranoia that told him that the cops were surely on to him.Become a Patron today: https://www.patreon.com/theserialkillerpodcastWebsite: https://www.theserialkillerpodcast.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/theskpodcastInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/serialkillerpodTwitter: https://twitter.com/serialkillerpodSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/the-serial-killer-podcast. Ep 178Interview with Jillian Lauren – A Samuel Little Special
I have the honour of having, as a featured guest, the esteemed Jillian Lauren; one of the women responsible for bringing Samuel Little to justice. Yes, the Samuel Little. None other than the premier serial killer in all of North America.Only the Green River Killer ever came close to matching Little’s kill count. Samuel Little, who went under the radar as a serial killer for decades, has admitted to murdering 93 innocent women. You can rest assured that I will feature a series dedicated to his life and crimes in later episodes, but in this episode I have the pleasure of discussing the case, and other topics, with Jillian Lauren.Jillian Lauren is a writer, storyteller and adoption advocate, with a love for kickboxing. She is the New York Times bestselling author of the memoirs Everything You Ever Wanted and SOME GIRLS: My Life in a Harem as well as the novel Pretty. SOME GIRLS, in which she recounts her time spent in the harem of the Prince of Brunei, has been translated into eighteen languages. She is also the only journalist so far who have extensively interviewed Samuel Little, the most prolific serial killer in North American history. This experience is what solidified her immense passion for using her platform in the realm of True Crime journalism to prioritize the rights of the surviving families of deceased victims.Chronicled in Joe Berlinger’s hit STARZ documentary series, CONFRONTING A SERIAL KILLER, and in Michael Connelly’s podcast MURDER BOOK: The Women Who Brought Down Samuel Little, Ms Lauren shines a light on the importance of justice for the people who loved those lost to violent tragedies.Become a Patron today: https://www.patreon.com/theserialkillerpodcastWebsite: https://www.theserialkillerpodcast.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/theskpodcastInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/serialkillerpodTwitter: https://twitter.com/serialkillerpodSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/the-serial-killer-podcast. Ep 177Edmund Kemper | The Coed Killer - Part 3
Imagine, if you will, dear listener, a huge man sitting alone in his apartment. He’s not so much fat as he simply is big. Yes, he has a significant paunch, but his arms and legs are muscular and he is broad shouldered. Most of all he is tall. The apartment seems almost comically small when he sits in the living room. Edmund Kemper has blood on his hands, and he is looking at them. A few moments ago, he returned from his first foray into sexualized predatory murder and he is both elated and disappointed.Become a Patron today: https://www.patreon.com/theserialkillerpodcastWebsite: https://www.theserialkillerpodcast.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/theskpodcastInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/serialkillerpodTwitter: https://twitter.com/serialkillerpodSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/the-serial-killer-podcast. Ep 176Edmund Kemper | The Coed Killer - Part 2
We continue on our sojourn into the twisted nightmare that is the life of the co-ed killer; Edmund Kemper. It is strange writing about these serial killer superstars. Many of them seem to flourish at the tail end of the hippie movement, i.e. the late 1960s and early 70s. It is, in a way, as if the innocence of the peace and love movement birthed something dark into the world, something monstrous, something that hungers for nothing but the suffering of others.Become a Patron today: https://www.patreon.com/theserialkillerpodcastWebsite: https://www.theserialkillerpodcast.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/theskpodcastInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/serialkillerpodTwitter: https://twitter.com/serialkillerpodSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/the-serial-killer-podcast. Ep 174South African Serial Killers | Interview with Romano Dolbey - Part 2
Over the years, this show has included some fascinating and rare interviews you will be hard pressed to find elsewhere. Tonight is no exception. Not only do I speak to a man who is a true aficionado of serial killer lore, but he comes from the very place tonight’s topic took and takes place. And the place, dear listener, is somewhere we in the West seldom gets too much information about. I am of course talking about the great nation of South Africa. Ep 172Axlar-Björn | The Icelandic Axe Murderer
Imagine if you will, dear listener, a land of ice and fire. An island, surrounded on all sides by thousands of kilometres of open ocean. 1472 km to the east lies most of its inhabitant’s original homeland, Norway. To the south, 1233km away, lies Scotland. To the west, 1210km away, lies Greenland and finally, about 2500km to the north; the arctic icecap surrounding the north pole. During the Viking era, around 800 AD, thousands of Norwegians fled and/or emigrated from Norway to IcelandBecome a Patron today: https://www.patreon.com/theserialkillerpodcastWebsite: https://www.theserialkillerpodcast.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/theskpodcastInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/serialkillerpodTwitter: https://twitter.com/serialkillerpodSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/the-serial-killer-podcast. Ep 171Gary Ridgway | The Green River Killer - Part 9
In the early spring of 2003, the police finally got another break on the evidence. Tests of materials taken from two other victims—Debbie Estes, “Muffin” to her family, and Wendy Coffield, the first victim found in the Green River in July of 1982—showed faint traces of a particular kind of paint globule otherwise found only at the Kenworth plant. Based on the Estes and Coffield evidence, the authorities decided to add victim Dub Bonner to the list of charged murders as well, bringing the total to seven. But beyond that, there simply wasn’t enough evidence to link Gary Ridgway to all the remaining Green River murders.Become a Patron today: https://www.patreon.com/theserialkillerpodcastWebsite: https://www.theserialkillerpodcast.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/theskpodcastInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/serialkillerpodTwitter: https://twitter.com/serialkillerpodSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/the-serial-killer-podcast. Ep 170Gary Ridgway | The Green River Killer - Part 8
Imagine if you will, dear listener, Theodore Robert Bundy sitting across from Robert Keppel in an interview room at Florida State Prison. The room is grey, the furniture non-descript. Keppel has just laid a photo on the table in front of Bundy. The photograph is turned upside down. Bundy eagerly reaches for it. Keppel has planned this for a good while. The deal with Bundy was that they were not to discuss the crimes for which Bundy was charged, only the Green River case.Become a Patron today: https://www.patreon.com/theserialkillerpodcastWebsite: https://www.theserialkillerpodcast.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/theskpodcastInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/serialkillerpodTwitter: https://twitter.com/serialkillerpodSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/the-serial-killer-podcast. Ep 169Gary Ridgway | The Green River Killer - Part 7
The story of Gary Leon Ridgway is a challenging story. Not just because so many books, films, and documentaries have already been made about him, but because there simply are so many victims and to struggle with how proper respect to their memory can be given. Much ado has been made in the media, and in previous episodes, about how most of the killer’s victims were prostitutes. I wonder if the same emphasis had been made on the victims’ profession if they had been accountants. Well, to be honest, I actually do think much had been made of such a scenario. A serial killer killing dozens of female accountants had truly been quite unique.Become a Patron today: https://www.patreon.com/theserialkillerpodcastWebsite: https://www.theserialkillerpodcast.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/theskpodcastInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/serialkillerpodTwitter: https://twitter.com/serialkillerpodSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/the-serial-killer-podcast. Ep 168Gary Ridgway | The Green River Killer - Part 6
Imagine if you will, dear listener, several nights earlier, the 17th of July, 1982. The by now well-known maroon pick-up truck slowed to a stop and the driver leant out of his window at the young woman standing alone, under a streetlamp. Hands on hips, Gisele Lovvorn, strode towards him. "Looking for a good time, honey?" she called in a weary voice. He gestured her into the vehicle.Become a Patron today: https://www.patreon.com/theserialkillerpodcastWebsite: https://www.theserialkillerpodcast.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/theskpodcastInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/serialkillerpodTwitter: https://twitter.com/serialkillerpodSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/the-serial-killer-podcast. Ep 167Gary Ridgway | The Green River Killer - Part 5
Once on the road, the girl's tries to give the man directions to a place she knows. The man just shakes his head and says he wants to do it outside, it’s such a pretty night and he doesn’t want to mess up his car. ‘Don’t worry’, he says, ‘it’s not far, you’ll be back in no time’. She’s still uncertain and looks as if she’s getting cold feet. ‘Hey, really, I’m safe, ok. Here, take a look at this’ he says as he produces his wallet with the photos of his kid and wife. ‘My wife and I have been having trouble, I love her and all, but a man’s got needs you know?’ The girl relaxes at this. Sure, she understands. She tells him he’s not alone in feeling that way at all. Lots of men have it like that, she knows that for sure. She doesn’t notice it, but the man’s face hardens a bit as she says that.Become a Patron today: https://www.patreon.com/theserialkillerpodcastWebsite: https://www.theserialkillerpodcast.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/theskpodcastInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/serialkillerpodTwitter: https://twitter.com/serialkillerpodSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/the-serial-killer-podcast. Ep 165Gary Ridgway | The Green River Killer - Part 3
The six year old boy enters the woods. He is shy, he’s not used to big boys paying him any attention. The stranger smiles and asks if the boy wants to build a fort with him. They can defend against the Apaches there, together. Wow! The boy is amazed, he gladly follows the youth deeper into the woods. After walking a bit, the bigger boy suddenly stops. Ep 158Harvey Glatman | The Glamour Girl Slayer | The Lonely Hearts Killer
If you are like me and peruse the world wide web for true crime regularly, photos of crime scenes are a staple of true crime. Especially fascinating is of course photos of victims taken by serial killers themselves. The latter is somewhat rare, but there are quite a few of them available. Three photos stand out that are relevant to tonight’s dark tale: one features a gorgeous brunette sitting in a fashionable short dress outside in the sunlight. On the night of the 21st to the 22nd of April, 1992, Golovkin saw a boy, stocky, about sixteen years old. According to Golovkin, at first, he did not want to kill him: there was no desire, apparently he did not fit in terms of his usual parameters. He offered the boy a ride, and he accepted. Children being attacked is the most heinous crime of all. And the Missoula Mauler did shy away from such activities, as we witnessed in the latest episode of this exposé. Imagine if you will, dear listener, a swelteringly hot crawlspace. It’s located at Conlin’s, high between the warehouse and sales floor. You are crouched next to Wayne Nance. Ep 146Dr Marcel Petiot | The Vampire of the Rue Le Sueur - Part 3
The second stove, on the left was cold, but the smaller one, to the right, was roaring with intense fire. A human hand, slender and by all appearances female, dangled from the open door; flames licking it like tattered fabric. As they turned from the light of the fire the three officers discerned a pile of coal and the bottom steps of the staircase they had walked down had something lying on its bottom steps. As they looked closer, they saw the steps were littered by a decapitated head, several skulls, decapitated arms, two nearly complete skeletons, shattered rib cages, sawn off feet, hands, jawbones, large chunks of unrecognizable flesh, and a quantity of small bones.Become a Patron today at https://www.patreon.com/theserialkillerpodcastWeb: https://www.theserialkillerpodcast.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/theskpodcastInstagram: @serialkillerpodTwitter: @serialkillerpodSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/the-serial-killer-podcast. There were no known witnesses, although Mrs Pahud’s body was found within minutes by a passing schoolgirl who at first thought that it was a bundle of clothing dumped in the laneway. As the police and ambulance sirens wailed their way to the murder scene, Glover examined the contents of Mrs Pahud’s purse on the grounds of a nearby golf club where he pocketed $300 and hid the bag in a drain. He then went to the Club where he drank and gambled with Margaret Pahud’s money.Become a Patron today at https://www.patreon.com/theserialkillerpodcastWeb: https://www.theserialkillerpodcast.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/theskpodcastInstagram: @serialkillerpodTwitter: @serialkillerpodSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/the-serial-killer-podcast. Ep 142John Wayne Glover | The Granny Killer - Part 1
Each time Glover committed serial murder, he ruthlessly bashed his victims to death with a hammer in public places in broad daylight and then throttled the last breath out of them with their own undergarments. The killings were unmistakably the work of the one person. John Glover was “The Granny Killer”, “The Monster of Mosman”, a vicious and calculating serial killer who deep-etched a macabre niche for himself into the history of Australia’s most despicable murderers.Become a Patron today at https://www.patreon.com/theserialkillerpodcastWeb: https://www.theserialkillerpodcast.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/theskpodcastInstagram: @serialkillerpodTwitter: @serialkillerpodSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/the-serial-killer-podcast. Ep 141Joseph Duncan III
I will bring you along on a downward spiral into depravity and death, and although I usually refrain from doing so: I choose to this time issue a warning. I will detail gruesome sexual crimes against children in this episode, and I completely understand those that cannot endure listening to such. Even I had trouble getting through writing this exposé, and had to take frequent breaks. With that I introduce you to tonight’s serial killer: Joseph Duncan III. As with so many American serial killers; he too was raised in and committed most of his crimes on the pacific northwest. He is in addition to a serial killer a serial rapist, kidnapper and a predatory pedophile.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/the-serial-killer-podcast. Hosted on Acast. Ep 140Robert Hansen | The Butcher Baker - Part 8
Welcome to the eighth and final installment of the Robert Hansen saga. This has been the longest-running serial killer exposé here on the TSK podcast. It’s been quite the journey through hell, and now we are finally approaching the end station. In this final chapter, I’ll take you, dear listener, along to watch his final acts of depravity before the authorities after all those years managed to close their net around him and keep him forever in their custody.Become a Patron today at https://www.patreon.com/theserialkillerpodcastWeb: https://www.theserialkillerpodcast.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/theskpodcastInstagram: @serialkillerpodTwitter: @serialkillerpodSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/the-serial-killer-podcast. Ep 139Robert Hansen | The Butcher Baker - Part 7
Serial killers, especially sadistically sexually motivated psychopathic serial killers such as Hansen, lie and lie again. Killers such as him enjoy lying to people, it gives them a sense of power, the joy of depriving a fellow human being of something was to Hansen satisfying. His tale of how he ended up killing Eklutna Annie also does not ring true, only part of it, as I stated at the end of part six in this long running exposé. In thise pisode, we have finally arrived at the bottom of the pit of depravity and destruction Hansen wrought. Like Dante on his travels with Virgil, we find ourselves on frozen ground. And before us stretches horrors almost unimaginable.Become a Patron today at https://www.patreon.com/theserialkillerpodcastWeb: https://www.theserialkillerpodcast.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/theskpodcastInstagram: @serialkillerpodTwitter: @serialkillerpodSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/the-serial-killer-podcast. Ep 138Robert Hansen | The Butcher Baker - Part 6
In this episode, we journey into the very pits of depravity continues, as Virgil told Dante on his travels throughout the nine circles of Hell:Thou follow me, and I will be thy guide, and lead thee hence through the eternal place. Fix your eyes below, upon the valley, for now we near the stream of blood, where those who injure others violently, boil. O blind cupidity and insane anger, which goad us on so much in our short life, then steep us in such grief eternally! The way is long, the path is difficult. Ep 137Robert Hansen | The Butcher Baker - Part 5
Alaska’s most famous serial killer. In the last episode, I left you with Hansen having just dropped off 18-year old Barbara Fields after having abducted and raped her repeatedly. She was one of Hansen’s very few victims who managed to survive encountering the Butcher Baker. Tonight we meet some of those that did not.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/the-serial-killer-podcast. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Ep 136Robert Hansen | The Butcher Baker - Part 4
As we travel alongside our frozen-hearted villain in the Last Frontier State, the crimes become darker and more extreme the older Robert Hansen got. As this episode is released, we are very close to Christmas time. And tonight, we join our subject as he too was preparing for the festive holiday season. Admittedly, his preparations were different than most folks’ were.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/the-serial-killer-podcast. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Ep 134Robert Hansen | The Butcher Baker - Part 2
Many serial killers through history has never been caught and many, such as Robert Hansen, operated for years and years without being caught. Much of the general public’s knowledge concerning serial murder is a product of Hollywood productions. Story lines are created to heighten the interest of audiences, rather than to accurately portray serial murder. By focusing on the atrocities inflicted on victims by “deranged” offenders, the public is captivated by the criminals and their crimes. This only lends more confusion to the true dynamics of serial murder.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/the-serial-killer-podcast. Hosted on Acast. Ep 133Robert Hansen | The Butcher Baker - Part 1
Imagine if you will, dear listener, the city of Anchorage in the great state of Alaska on the 13 th of June, 1983. A beautiful young woman is running. It is summer, but still the asphalt beneath her feet is cold and so rugged that it feels like the soles of her feet are on fire. She doesn’t stop running, though. She knows with absolute certainty that if she stops, if she hesitates even for a second, the hunter behind her somewhere will catch her and kill her. The young woman is not properly dressed for the Alaskan outdoors. She has a miniskirt on and a short jacket that’s obviously meant to be pretty rather than practical. The name she goes by these days is Kitty Larson, but her parents always knew her as Victoria Matthew.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/the-serial-killer-podcast. Hosted on Acast. EImagine dear listener, you get to your partner, shout their name a couple of times, but still no reply. You walk up the stairs to the bedroom, the place where you have had so many loving moments together. The sight that greets you there is odd. There, your partner is lying in bed, tucked in looking almost peaceful. But there is paleness, and is that blood?
