UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, 50, was tragically shot and killed in what police describe as a "premeditated, preplanned targeted attack" outside the New York Hilton. Thompson was on his way to speak at UnitedHealth Group's investor conference when the assailant approached from behind and fired multiple rounds.
