This week’s guest talks about the power of saying yes to opportunities and why going the extra mile is so important. He delves into societal pressures experienced by high achieving students and how learning digital marketing increased sales by 5-fold in his fathers business. Finally, we explore why and how he set-up Medmentor, the struggles so far and the importance of having long-term vision.

Abdul-Rahman is a medical student studying at UCL with an iBSc in Neuroscience. From a young age, he was exposed to entrepreneurship through his father’s business. During university he helped lead the @UCL Arab & North African society and worked with a VC-backed social enterprise helping revolutionise the way people give money to causes. More recently, he has set up an exciting and innovative new platform 'Medmentor'.

This platform aims create access to medicine by connecting current and aspiring medical students to provide affordable tailored mentoring. Uniquely Abdul was also the last of the Youth Delegation to the European Parliament in Brussels.
