John Alder, Ep 30, Coach Development and Team Culture

John Alder hails from Gloucester, UK and comes from a rugby family who passionately support the Cherry & Whites. John was a junior international player, Gloucester academy member and then played senior rugby at the Exeter Chiefs before being forced to retire young, at 23, following a niggling shoulder injury. John has since established himself as an international coach developer who brings experience in crafting and delivering leadership and learning solutions to coaches and sport organisations around the world. He worked extensively with New Zealand Rugby League and, during that time, completed a PhD in High Performance Sport Management with a particular focus upon culture-driven leadership and change. John is currently the Talent & Performance Coaching Manager at sports coach UK.
