Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne is challenging Ron Joyce Jr., son of the co-founder of Tim Hortons, and calling him a bully for cutting employee benefits in response to the minimum wage hike in Ontario.

 

Tim Hortons’ head office also issued a statement blaming “a reckless few” and saying the actions don't reflect the values of the brand.

Former hostage Joshua Boyle is in custody in Ottawa in connection with 15 criminal charges filed against him earlier this week.

 

In December, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met with Boyle and his family.

The U.S. has called together the U.N. Security Council to support the people of Iran. Meanwhile, France and Russia are refusing to get involved, claiming it is an internal domestic issue, and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been silent on the issue.
